A hospital buys washroom supplies differently from a hotel. Your clinical or housekeeping head, not the admin office, usually decides what goes on a ward wall, and fragrance is often unwelcome near patients. For smell, keep it mild. A wall-mounted air freshener dispenser with an adjustable timer, set to a long interval and a light fragrance, suits a waiting hall or the corridor outside the public washrooms. Ask your clinical team before placing one near wards or anyone with breathing trouble. We would rather you skip a room than fill it with scent nobody wanted.

Public and staff washrooms

These washrooms are busy day and night. Fit sensor soap dispensers so visitors do not press a pump, and a towel dispenser or sensor hand dryer beside each basin. Every ladies’ cubicle needs a sanitary bin. Ours has a wide opening and opens by hand or by foot. In the men’s washrooms, urinal screens with an anti-splash design keep the floor around the urinal drier.
